— We would like to share some important information about how laser hair removal works and what to expect afterward.
How does laser hair removal work?
Laser hair removal uses a technology that directs a concentrated beam of light onto hair follicles, targeting the melanin pigment found in the hair.
This beam heats the melanin, leading to the destruction of the follicle.
We use a diode laser because it is the most effective and painless type of laser available.
It is important to understand that hair grows in different phases: anagen (active phase), catagen (transitional phase), and telogen (resting phase).
The laser is most effective on hair in the active growth phase (anagen). Therefore, to achieve the best results, procedures need to be performed regularly. We usually recommend sessions at intervals of 3-4 weeks, depending on the area being treated. This allows us to target new follicles that have awakened by the time of the next session.
What if you notice increased hair growth?
There may be some increase in hair growth between sessions, which happens because follicles awaken at different rates. Don't worry! This is completely normal and even beneficial. When you come for the next session, we will be able to treat more of the awakened follicles, improving the results.
Important to remember:
• To achieve optimal results, it is recommended to complete the full course of procedures.
• Don't forget to follow our specialist's recommendations for skin care after the procedure.
